Rachel + Josh: 6.26.10

I went to High School with Josh and the little I know him, he's an awesome guy.  Just from shooting this wedding and spending a little bit of time with this bride and groom, I can definately tell how in love they are.  The look on Josh's face when he saw Rachel for the first time was priceless.  It was a look of true love.  Their wedding was very personal, simple, and all about them and their love for each other.  It was a reminder of what love should look like and I have no doubt that these two will last forever.  Congratulations Rachel and Josh!

Brittany + Josh: 5.22.10

Brittany and Josh were the first wedding of the season with LG Imagery.  I have known Brittany for awhile as she is friends with my little sister, her older sister was in my class in high school, and her older brother's wife was a softball coach at my high school.  Needless to say...I know Brittany well, she looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and her wedding went so well!

Sadie

This past Sunday, Luke and I were on our way back from Okoboji and dropping of the Waverunners Luke's friend Nick let us borrow on our vacation at Lake Shetek, when we got a heart breaking phone call.  My mother-in-law, Ruth, told us that they found Saide laying by the barn and she couldn't walk, and she thought she probably needed to be put down.

When Sadie was about 1, she would be about 6 now, she was hit by a car and the wheel of the car ran right over her stomach.  She was lucky she lived, but developed a tumor in her adominal cavity.  When Lana took her in this past Thursday to get her shots, the vet said that the tumor had grown to the size of a football and nothing could be done about it.  It wouldn't hurt anything until it started pushing on other organs.

Well, we called the vet and took Sadie in to be looked at.  He told us that Sadie probably wouldn't make it through the night and we could either take her home or have her put down.  We all decided to have her put down.

So we went back to the farm and were digging where we were going to bury her and I got stung by a bee, twice.  Luke got stung once and Lana's boyfriend Travis got stung as well.  What a way to continue the day....

So this post is in tribute to Sadie. She was greatly loved by everyone and everyone is going to miss her alot. I was especially looking forward to the time we moved out the acerage and she could go on more walks with me. Luke and I had plans to take her camping more often, swimming more often, and just being around and outside to play with her more often once we moved there. I am very sad we won't be able to do that. We love you Sadie baby!

J+J Engagements

My best friend and her fiance came to Omaha for the weekend and we did their engagment pictures!  We had a ton of fun and got some great images to prove it!

These two are sooo in love and the way they look at each other is so refreshing and heart warming.  I have no doubts that these 2 will last a lifetime.  I love them both to death and can't wait to be a part of their special day!  As a matron of honor, I will not be able to help with their wedding on the photography side, but my sister-in-law, Lana Greving of LG Imagery will do a wonderful job!

Thanks for letting me drag you guys around town in the heat! You were troopers and I hope you like how they turned out! Love you!

Family Christmas Card

While shuffling all of the holiday events my siblings and I were able to get in a picture for the Christmas card.  With a brother who likes to pick on his big sisters, especially Abby, because he knows she won't take it as well:)  It's comical and frustrating at the same time to use the self timer to try to get that one good image for the card! We managed a decent one this year.  I am just thankful we are all here after Jon's scare with his football injury.  I love them all and I don't know what I would do without my siblings!!

W Family

I have photographed the W family before and they were just as fun this time as the last!  The Monday following our weekend shoot they finalized the adoption of little B.  They are now an official family and a cute one at that!  I realize that I take what I have a for a family for granted so many times.  Looking at these guys and what they have gone through to get where they are today makes me so grateful for my loved ones.  My challenge to you today is to think about your family and thank God for all he has given you. Once you start, it's hard to stop!
